so ari just came out and told us the president will speak in about 25 minutes…and there is lightning and thunder here in chicago…and maybe we should all start making peace with ourselves and with our gods because it seems like the only peace we have the power to make.

and i’m not kidding, the anchor on abc news just said that Shock and Awe is a poetic turn of phrase.

news anchors say plenty of stupid things, last night they brought up how the chinese embassey bombing was an accident to prove some point about intelligence information not always being accurate. Mind you everyone outside of this country believes that the bombing was done on purpose.

My point being you really shouldn't be watching the television for coverage on Iraq unless you're in the mood for a chuckle.

note-when i say good news source i mean, up to the moment information. i'm not necessarily making any claims as to the validity of that information. these two sites that i listed above are conglomerations of news from around the world and are updated every minute with articles about the war in iraq and international views on the current state of affairs.
sort of a "world press and review" online.
