Saturday! Feb 26 2005 // 11:24 am // permalink Full moon sledding twoThese photos were terribly hard to take, I’m surprised this shot turned out so well. I’m actually going pretty fast here, and at the end of this particular run I had a spectacular spill in the middle of last year’s squash field. Saturday! Feb 26 2005 // 11:20 am // permalink Roof oneThis photo was taken Thursday (Feb 24), and you can see the roof has been added to the timber frame. The floor boards have been put down on the second level, as well. Saturday! Feb 26 2005 // 10:20 am // permalink Full moon sleddingThursday night was a perfect windless, cloudless night. Freddy, Reid, Christine, Ben and I went sledding around nine or ten. This was absolutely the best time I’ve had since…? Saturday! Feb 26 2005 // 10:10 am // permalink Timber frame twoHere you can see the process for getting the timbers up to the second floor. Saturday! Feb 26 2005 // 10:05 am // permalink Walls and windows on the packing shedI didn’t help with this project, but I definitely supported the process. Before there were walls, the spaces were covered with plastic. All night, the wind whipped the plastic in and out like a giant drum. Some nights it was so loud it would keep me awake for hours. The pumphouse is right next to the packing shed, but far from the house, so nobody else experienced the noise. Saturday! Feb 26 2005 // 10:02 am // permalink In the pole barnOne project I helped with was finishing the inside of the pole barn on the new property. Insulated, drywalled, etc. Saturday! Feb 26 2005 // 9:59 am // permalink My birthdayOne of four birthday parties where I got to blow out candles! Two were just for me, and two were shared with other Jan/Feb birthdays on the farm and in the farm neighborhood. Saturday! Feb 26 2005 // 9:56 am // permalink Sign paintingYou can see all the small building signage surrounding me. That green background color is John Deere green. No, really. Saturday! Feb 26 2005 // 9:52 am // permalink The LogoThis is the somewhat finished logo design we’ve chosen. There are a few minor details I need to work on, but I’m not sure they’d even show up in this photo. Now I need to do some scanning and Adobe work, and we’ll be able to put it on every surface. I think I’m even going to do some silkscreening. Want a t-shirt? |
